About Me
Hello, I am Julie Miescke. Welcome to Live Healthy, Fit and Happy! I am so glad you're here. As a Certified Health Coach, my mission is to help you reclaim your energy, clarity and confidence by building wellness from inside out - starting at the cellular level.
Have You Noticed How Getting Older Creeps Up On You Slowly? And Then One Day... Wham?!! That was definitely me. In my 20s, I worked during the day and went to school at night. I had tons of energy, was super active, and didn’t worry at all about nutrition or my health. By the time I hit 30, I was teaching full-time and raising my family. Of course, I was tired—that’s expected, right? Working 40+ hours a week, meal planning, cooking, baseball practice, soccer, ballet lessons... all moms are tired!
In my mid-40s, I told myself, "This isn’t that bad." But then I had the sinking feeling, "Things aren’t going to get a whole lot better!" That’s when I began searching for a solution. But what a confusing mess. Should I eat low fat? High fat? Low carb? Vegan? Paleo? Intermittent fasting? And supplements? Even worse! I remember walking into a vitamin store so overwhelmed that I walked out in tears. By my 50s, my cholesterol was up along with my blood sugar and weight. My energy levels tanked, and I had a whole host of health problems. I knew exercise was important, but my knees hurt so badly I didn’t know how I was going to turn things around. However, I knew prescription drugs were not for me.
One of the most powerful lessons I learned: when you push down on cellular damage and flood your body with repair, amazing things can happen. My mind and my view of aging completely shifted. Let the upward spiral begin! The first thing I noticed was energy—I wasn’t flopping on the couch after work anymore. I actually wanted to take walks, and started taking my dog for walks. Each day we went a bit further.
Pretty soon, I was tackling the big hill by my house and even trotting all the way up! Beyond energy, my body stopped hurting like before and many other issues started disappearing.
Now, in my 60s, what a difference! I have the energy and stamina of a younger version of myself. I’m down twenty pounds, my blood work is excellent, and I’m excited for what the future holds.
